Commissioner Catalena to be Honored at Annual Ag Breakfast

Brazos County, TX – The 20th annual Taste of Brazos Valley, most commonly called the Ag Breakfast, will celebrate the best in local agriculture, including our very own Precinct 2 commissioner.

Commissioner Sammy Catalena is set to be recognized as the winner of the Agricultural Impact Award at this year’s breakfast.  The Bank & Trust is receiving the Agricultural Business Award.

The Ag Breakfast is presented by the B/CS Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Council.  In its 20th year, the Ag Breakfast is an opportunity to thank and celebrate our local farmers and ranchers.  The food at the event is grown, produced, donated, prepared and served by local farmers.

When the event began, it was meant as a way of thanking and serving the farmers and ranchers.  But, in typical fashion, these people who work tirelessly to provide us with food each day turned the tables on the event and decided they wanted to serve the community.  They now not only grow and provide the food, they wake up extra early to prepare and serve it to those attending the breakfast.

Mark your calendars to attend this special event, Tuesday, November 20th at 7am at the Brazos County Expo Complex.  Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased in advance from the Bryan / College Station Chamber of Commerce by calling 979-260-5200, or going to www.bcschamber.org.
