Ms. Johnson serves as our Detention Center Counselor. She has been selected as our Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for July, 2011. As such, she has been very instrumental in helping juveniles better adjust to being detained. She is always willing to assist Detention Center staff in whatever way is needed. She is an outstanding counselor and does an excellent job of building rapport with teens. She always displays a positive attitude. During this past month Christena did an very good job of working with residents who had severe emotional problems. Thanks Christena for a job well done.

Bio: Ms. Johnson began working for the Juvenile Department in April, 2004. She served as a Detention Supervisor and counselor for a period of time. Ms. Johnson is a graduate of Bryan High School and attended Texas A&M University majoring in Psychology. Before working for the Juvenile Department Ms. Johnson worked as a caseworker for the Brazos Valley MHMR department.
