Ms. Norma Soto was selected as our Brazos County Juvenile Services "Employee of the Month" for May, 2010. Norma serves as our Victim Services Coordinator and as such works with victims of juvenile crime in our community. Norma regularly attends the court hearings and since she is bi-lingual Spanish, she regularly translates for officers as needed.
Norma has translated many of our standard documents in the department from English into Spanish. She facilitates victim impact panels every other month. Whenever anyone in the department needs help Norma is always willing to assist. Norma assists with the "Arts for Life Program" on Saturday's in our Detention Center and serves as a member of our "Employee Action Committee" (EAC).
Norma helped coordinate the recent Crime Victim’s Conference and also assisted in preparing for the Volunteer Appreciation event in April. Great job Norma.

Bio: Norma graduated from Blinn Junior College with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. Before beginning work in the Juvenile Services Department, she worked for the City of Bryan and for the Brazos County District Attorney's office.
